1. Tripura leads in vaccination of 45+ aged citizens in country, 98 per cent inoculated

A national record has been set by the northeastern state of Tripura, which has administered the first dose of COVID vaccine to 98 per cent of its population falling in the above 45 years age group, and overall 83 per cent of eligible people in the state have been vaccinated already. 

2. Over 700 Myanmarese took shelter in Mizoram in past few weeks: Police official

A police officer on Sunday, June 27, informed that as many as 700 individuals from Myanmar have sneaked into Mizoram in the past few weeks.

3. Manipur: Sharda Devi appointed as BJP's first woman President 

Adhikarimayum Sharda Devi has been appointed as the new President of Bharatiya Janata Party, Manipur Unit. She is the first woman president of the party in Manipur.

4. Assam: Dreaded drug mafia, Pappu Ali arrested by Golaghat police

Following the recent seizure of a huge quantity of illegal drugs from a building site belonging to Pappu Ali, which is currently under construction, the Golaghat police have arrested the dreaded drug mafia, Pappu Ali, at Farkating in Golaghat district. 

5. Arunachal: Students' body demands quick modification on all BRO signages

The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) in Arunachal Pradesh has demanded the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) to make immediate rectifications on all the signages, foundation stones, notice boards, etc., built by its officials within the state.

6. Mizoram reports lowest daily COVID-19 tally since June 15

Mizoram on Monday reported 131 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the lowest single-day infections since June 15, taking the COVID tally to 19,455.  

7. Panel to move Assam DCs for urgent steps to take care of COVID-infected kids

The Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (ASCPCR) has decided to write to deputy commissioners and joint directors of health to urgently take measures to take care of children getting infected with COVID-19.

8. Meghalaya: 'Missing' woman from Bishnupur found

A 40-year old woman, who was allegedly missing from her residence from June 25  has been reportedly found, a relative of the missing person informed The Northeast Today (TNT), on Monday.
