ITANAGAR:

The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) in Arunachal Pradesh has demanded the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) to make immediate rectifications on all the signages, foundation stones, notice boards, etc., built by its officials within the state.

The Union has claimed that despite the structures raised within the state's territory, the title of Arunachal remains disregarded on various signages.

“Even in the recently inaugurated Kimin-Potin (20 km) road, the name of Arunachal Pradesh is missing from the foundation stone,” the Union said.

Further warning against any act of omission, AAPSU said “such negligence shall no longer be tolerated.”

The Union also sought the “delay by BRO in executing various important road projects across the state” and demanded completion of all its projects within the stipulated time.

Earlier on June 26, The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) tendered an apology to the people of Arunachal Pradesh for allegedly passing of state's Kimin town as part of Assam.

The apology was also made for ignorantly covering Arunachal’s name with white paste during the recent visit of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to Kimin to inaugurate the road work.
