1. Assam eyes containment in 220 virus hotspot zones across “red” districts

The Assam government has identified as many as 220 hotspot zones across the “red” districts even as the revised standard operating procedures (SOPs) for containment of the virus in the state would be announced on Saturday.

2. Meghalaya: MLA to grant Rs 5,000 scholarship to promote vaccination

Jowai legislator Wailadmiki Shylla announced that a scholarship of Rs 5,000 would be granted to students in an initiative towards achieving COVID-19 vaccination targets.

3. Centre ties up $32 million World Bank project to strengthen healthcare in Mizoram

According to a statement issued by the Union Finance Ministry, the Government of India, Government of Mizoram and the World Bank have signed an agreement for a $32 million project to improve health services in Mizoram. 

4. Arunachal: FIR lodged against CM Pema Khandu over Kimin-Potin road

The All Arunachal Pradesh Abo Tani Student’s Union has lodged an FIR against Chief Minister Pema Khandu for allegedly passing off the state’s Kimin town as part of Assam.
