1. Arunachal officers traverse nine hours journey to administer COVID vaccine in Luguthang

A team of officers in Arunachal, led by deputy commissioner of Tawang district Sang Phuntsok, made a nine hours long journey, on foot and vehicle, to administer COVID-19 vaccine to 16 residents from Luguthang village in the state, who are yak herders.

2. Tripura govt starts spot antigen test, heavy penalties on protocol violators

As the COVID-19 positivity rate across Tripura remains constant at above five per cent, the state government's decision to conduct spot antigen tests from Monday (July 12) has shown Agartala reporting more cases than any other region in the state.

3. Meghalaya: HNLC claims responsibility for IED blast in East Jaintia Hills; investigation underway

The Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC), a banned militant outfit of Meghalaya, has claimed responsibility for the bomb blast near the police reserve at Khliehriat in East Jaintia Hills on the wee hours of Wednesday. 

4. Assam coordinating with other NE states to curb illegal drugs trade: CM

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that “coordinated efforts are on with the other Northeastern states to jointly tackle against the menace of illegal drugs.”
