Tripura: Govt curtails 30 per cent syllabus for classes 9-12 students 

Earlier, board examinations for classes 10 and 12 were initially postponed for the academic session 2020-2021, given the COVID-19 situation in the country.

Amid the uncertainty arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tripura Government has decided to reduce the academic syllabus for classes 9 to 12 by 30% for the session 2021-22.

The announcement was made by the state’s secondary education board president Dr Bhabatosh Saha. 

In view of the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the decision was taken by the Tripura government for the second consecutive time.  As per reports, students of classes 9 to 12 were required to prepare for 70% of the syllabus, while 30% curtailed. 

Earlier, board examinations for classes 10 and 12 were initially postponed for the academic session 2020-2021, given the COVID-19 situation in the country. 

However, the state government is yet to come up with a final decision regarding the exams.
