Three-day cultural festival titled 'Bharat Ko Janno' begins in Tripura
"The event is being organised to create awareness about the country's rich cultural diversity and promote national integration through culture. The festival will be held in different places of Tripura i.e. Udaipur, Jirania and Agartala," a NEZCC press release stated.
A three-day Chain Yatra festival titled “Bharat Ko Janno” organised by the North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), Government of India, in collaboration with the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs, Government of Tripura, kick-started in different parts of Tripura on December 27.
Aimed at promoting different cultures of the Northeast, the festival organised under the theme “National Cultural Exchange Programme” will showcase folk dances and songs by various communities to promote national integrity.

A press release further said that folk artiste troupes from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Jharkhand, Manipur, Odhisa, and local Cultural troupes of Tripura will participate in the three-day festival.
According to the schedule, the inaugural day of the festival will be held at Rajashri Kala Kshetra at Udaipur from 4 pm onwards. The second day of the festival will be held at Agnibina Hall under Jirania, and the third day of the festival will be held at Dr B.R. Ambedkar English Model School Community Hall in Agartala.
The festival will see folk artists performing various cultural acts such as-Rikhampada & Juju Jaja Dance from Arunachal Pradesh, Bihu Dance from Assam, Seraikela Chhau Dance from Jharkhand, Thang-Ta and Pung Choolam from Manipur, Ghudka Sambalpuri Dance from Odisha.
Local cultural troupes will also perform tribal music, songs, and dances during the three-day event.
