FM Sitharaman inaugurates projects worth Rs 151 cr on first day of her 2-Day visit to Tripura

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who is on a two-day visit to Tripura, inaugurated several developmental projects in the state on Friday.

The Finance Minister started with a visit to the Covid-19 vaccination centre at Gandhigram in Mohanpur, where she took stock of the vaccination programme under progress.

Sitharaman inaugurated the new 132 KV Sub-Station in Mohanpur under the Power Improvement Projects to provide the much-needed boost to the power sector in the region.

Later, Sitharaman visited the Mohanpur High School and flagged off seven development projects under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) of NABARD. While addressing the crowd at the school, she inaugurated  80,000 functional water tap connections along with 132 drinking water supply schemes.

On her first day of the visit, the Finance Minister inaugurated 11 developmental projects worth Rs 151 crore. The minister’s itinerary for the second day of the Tripura visit includes various meetings and visits to other religious places.
