Nine teachers from Northeast India to receive National Award 2021 

It was learnt that the awards would be virtually presented by President Ram Nath Kovind on the occasion of Teachers’ Day on September 5 to all the awardees.

As many as nine teachers from Northeast India have been selected for the National Awards to Teachers, 2021, for their contribution to the field of education.

It was learnt that the awards would be virtually presented to all the awardees by President Ram Nath Kovind on the occasion of Teachers’ Day on September 5.

The awardees include – two each from Sikkim and Assam; one each from Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. They are among the 44 other teachers from across the country selected for the national award.

The purpose of the National Awards to Teachers is to celebrate the unique contribution of some of the finest teachers in the country and to honour those teachers who through their commitment and industry have not only improved the quality of school education but also enriched the lives of their students.
