Sikkim receives 93 oxygen concentrators from two non-profit organisations

GANGTOK: 

As many as 93 oxygen concentrators were donated to the Government of Sikkim by ACT Grants and Swasth Allliance, a conglomeration of 150 organisations in India to help fight COVID 19.

The oxygen concentrators have been transferred to STNM hospital, a full-fledged hospital dedicated to COVID-19 in Sochyagang.

According to sources, renowned entrepreneur Karma Bhutia and his spouse, Ira Bhutia, assisted in delivering the equipments to the State and formally handed over it to Sikkim Chief Minister P.S. Golay.

CM Golay has expressed his gratitude to the couple, including the logistic partner, Delhivery, for their kind gesture. 

He also conveyed his gratitude to Prashanth Prakash, advisor to the Chief Minister of Karnataka. 

Notably, non-profit organisations such as ACT Grants, Swasth Alliance and Feeding India have come together to donate 50,000 oxygen concentrators to public health organisations, and NGOs to meet the various requirement of COVID-19 patients.
