Sikkim govt launches 1000 litres per minute PSA oxygen plant at STNM hospital

To supplement the supply of oxygen in the state, Sikkim Chief Minister P S Tamang Golay on Tuesday inaugurated the 1000 litres per minute PSA oxygen generation plant at STNM Hospital in Sochyagang.


The Oxygen Plant, allocated by the Government of India under PM CARES, will be adequate for supplying oxygen to the entire hospital, Golay informed. 


The civil work for the installation of the Plant commenced on May 28, 2021. 


Earlier, the State Government had installed a 500 Lites Per Minute VSA Oxygen Plant at STNM Hospital in view of the rapid surge in COVID cases brought about by the second wave of COVID-19. 


Health Minister Dr M.K. Sharma and various other concerned dignitaries also attended the programme.
