Sikkim: Government officials raid shops running on sublet license
 

During the raid, it was found that several shops were running on sublet license and using bill books without Goods and Services Tax (GST).

GANGTOK:

The District Collector of West Sikkim, Karma R. Bonpo, carried out a surprise raid to find out the ground reality of the sublet shops where Gyalshing Nagar Panchayat (GNP) had pre-identified around 50 locations. 

The raid was carried by three teams headed by Additional District Collector, Agawane Rohan Ramesh, Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Gyalshing, Tshering Topgay Bhutia and other government officials. 

During the raid, it was found that several shops were running on sublet license and using bill books without Goods and Services Tax (GST).

SDM of Gyalshing, Tshering Topgay Bhutia informed the sublet trade license shall be dealt with as per the law.
