The Government of Nagaland on Wednesday extended the ongoing lockdown in the state till June 18, with certain relaxations in place.

The decision to extend the lockdown comes after a thorough discussion among members of the High Power Committee (HPC).

Nagaland Government spokesperson Mmhonlumo Kikon announced on Twitter that the lockdown in place will also see further relaxations.

"The High Power Committee after thorough discussion with all the District Task Forces has decided to extend the lockdown till June 18 with further relaxations. Respective DTFs will issue necessary orders for relaxations as per the situation in the districts!" tweeted Kikon.

Orders on relaxations will be issued by District Task Force (DTF) in the respective areas.
