A video had surfaced on social media on Tuesday, whereby a man was seen alleging a rice mill-cum-retail shop at Naharbari in Dimapur, Nagaland of stocking "plastic rice".

Following the viral video, a team of Food and Supplies officials, Dimapur Police and Chumoukedima district authorities rushed to the spot to inspect the godown.

Speaking to local media houses, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Relo T Aye said that when the team reached the mill and inspected the rice stock, the shop owner told them that the rice stock in question was brought from Arihant Industries foodgrain warehouse, which is also located in Naharbari.
