AIZAWL:

The Deputy Commissioner of Aizawl Dr Lalhriatzuali Ralte, on Wednesday, announced that shopkeepers will be allowed to maintain stocks in their shops in the Aizawl Municipal Corporation(AMC) area, on Thursdays and Saturdays, with strict adherence to appropriate behaviour guidelines.

The Local Level Task Force (LLTF) will organise a list to categorise shops into two categories namely Category-A and Category-B.

Shopkeepers will be allowed to arrange their stocks either on Thursday and Saturdays, depending on the category, and from 8:00 am to 6.30 pm.

Shopkeepers will also need to maintain a minimum number of staffs that will work in the shops, keeping in mind the safety protocols. The operation of sales by the shopkeepers, however, is strictly prohibited.

The DC also informed that the LLTF will issue a permit to shopkeepers to be used as proof to proceed to the area.

Meanwhile, LLTF members and COVID-19 executive duty will be at work, to maintain discipline in the area.
