Massive landslide kills four children in Mizoram

Altogether four children have died and two others injured after a devastating landslide swept away a building in Aizawl, Mizoram, as per the reports. 

The incident had occurred on Friday night at Thuampui neighbourhood located under the Bawngkawn police station area in the northeastern part of Aizawl.

With the arrival of monsoon in the state, continuous rainfalls led to a massive landslide, washing away the wall of an Assam-type building accommodated by a family of seven members. 

According to sources, nearly six members were present inside the house during the occurrence of the calamity. 

While two members of the family escaped alive out of the incident, four children between the age of three and 16 died on the spot.
