Meghalaya police seize 2 kg opium at Madanrting, one held

SHILLONG:

Meghalaya Police on June 17 busted a drug racket and detained one person along with seizing psychotropic substance at Madanrting .

Acting on human intelligence of a suspected drug courier, the Anti Narcotics Task Force cell and a team from Madanrting Police Station proceeded towards the suspect’s residence at Madanrting, during the search operation, 2 kgs of opium was seized in the presence of independent witnesses.

A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been lodged against the arrested individual.
