Meghalaya: KSU holds rally in protest against Golf Links assault case

The Khasi Students' Union (KSU) South West Khasi Hills (SWKH) organised a protest rally on Wednesday at Mawkyrwat Market to condemn the recent incident of assault on three youths from Wahkaji by miscreants at Golf Link.

The Khasi Students' Union (KSU) South West Khasi Hills (SWKH) organised a protest rally on Wednesday at Mawkyrwat Market to condemn the recent incident of assault on three youths from Wahkaji by miscreants at Golf Link, Shillong, on March 21.

The rally, which started from the Block Development Officer (BDO) office and culminated at the Mawkyrwat market, witnessed participants holding black flags and placards to condemn the incident.

General Secretary of the KSU central body Donald V Thabah, Vice President of Federation of Khasi Jaintia And Garo People (FKJGP) Eldie N Lyngdoh, and many other NGO leaders also took part in the rally.

One of the three youths, who was assaulted at Golf Links, succumbed to his injuries at NEIGRIMS on March 28.
