Meghalaya Govt to decide on MHIS scheme at private hospitals within two days

Health Minister A.L.Hek on Tuesday said that the department will take two days to decide on the issues faced by the people for availing the Megha Health Insurance Scheme (MHIS) at private hospitals.

Speaking to reporters after a meeting to review the MHIS scheme, he said, “It will take two days to work out the decisions on addressing the issues faced by the people at private hospitals. It will take two days to come to the final decision.”

It is learnt that 866 COVID-19 cases are currently admitted and being treated at private hospitals, in addition to 4099 COVID tests.

Again, the amount initiated for COVID-19 treatment is Rs 2.11 crore, and the total amount initiated for the COVID-19 tests is Rs 79.5 lakhs, the Health Minister informed.
