Meghalaya Cricket Association hands over five oxygen cylinders to Nongpoh Civil Hospital

Amid the growing number of COVID-19 cases in the state, the Meghalaya Cricket Association (MCA) has taken the initiative to serve the people and offer humanitarian assistance in whichever way possible.

Keeping this in mind, the MCA on Wednesday handed over five oxygen cylinders to the Nongpoh Civil Hospital in Ri Bhoi district.

Ri Bhoi District Cricket Association President Rayonald Kharkamni handed over the essential medical equipment to the District Health & medical Officer Dr M. Mawrie, stating that the essential medical supply will help the hospital deal with the increasing number of cases being reported daily.

Speaking to the media persons about their initiative, Kharkamni said that the mission to serve humanity was taken by the MCA to help the public fight the COVID-19 pandemic, adding that it is high time for different organisations to come forward in helping the government in battling the COVID crisis.

"MCA is not only the organization which concentrates on uplifting sport, but during hard times like these, it has also come forward to reach the needy," Kharkamni said.

He further added that the organization will continue to serve humanity in the future.
