Meghalaya: COVID-19 positive person goes missing from Nongpoh

According to information, the person identified as Omkar Singh, hailing from Uttar Pradesh had tested COVID-19 positive at the Umling COVID screening checkpoint on May 3.

NONGPOH:

A COVID-19 positive person, who was staying in a rented house in Nongpoh has reportedly gone missing from his residence since May 3, 2021.

According to information, the person identified as Omkar Singh, hailing from Uttar Pradesh had tested COVID-19 positive at the Umling COVID screening checkpoint on May 3.

The person was working with Power Grid and had just returned from his hometown in UP.

The headman of Nongpoh, Sylvester Mynsong informed that the village authorities have received the information on the COVID-19 status of Singh and have accordingly started contact tracing.

He added that the two persons staying together with Singh have been directed to do a COVID test and isolate themselves for 5 days.
