Meghalaya CM submits proposal for promotion of animal husbandry & fisheries in state

Sangma submitted proposals related to the establishment of Cattle Feed Mill for the entire Northeast, and support for the conservation of exotic variety of fishes in fish sanctuaries.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, on Monday, called on Union Minister Giriraj Singh and discussed the promotion of animal husbandry & fisheries in the State.

Sangma submitted proposals related to the establishment of Cattle Feed Mill for the entire Northeast, and support for the conservation of exotic variety of fishes in fish sanctuaries.

The Chief Minister urged the union minister to consider the proposal for the growth of the Animal & Husbandry and Fisheries sectors in the state, which can also generate employment and lead to economic development.

It may be mentioned that the above-mentioned departments are important for the upliftment of the primary economic sector.
