Meghalaya: BSF organises free medical camp in Pyrdiwah

The programme, aimed at creating a sense of security among the border area population, witnessed the participation of 500 civilians in the camp including ladies and children.

As part of the civic action programme 2021-22, the Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya Frontier organised a free medical camp for the public at BOP Pyrdiwah and adjoining areas, on Monday.

The programme, aimed at creating a sense of security among the border area population, witnessed the participation of 500 civilians in the camp including ladies and children.

A total of 410 patients was diagnosed by the medical officers and provided free prescribed medicines for their ailments, informed IG, SHQ BSF Jowai Sandeep Rawat.

Before the programme, the local people performed a grand cultural programme for everyone present at the medical camp. The local population appreciated the BSF’s work and requested the paramilitary force to organise such events in border areas on a regular basis.

The programme was attended by Sandeep Rawat, Kamal Yadav, 2/IC Officiating Commandant, 30 BN BSF along with three officers, four medical officers, and two civil medical officers.
