SHILLONG:

The Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya frontier, on June 8, returned a Bangladeshi national who had trespassed into the Indian side of the border in Dawki.

The Bangladeshi teenager named Hasanur Jamal Abhik was handed over to the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) as a goodwill gesture during a flag meeting held between personnel from the BSF and BGB.

The BSF stated that the teenager was found roaming at a village area in Dawki, who had entered into Indian territory inadvertently on June 6, 2021.

BSF Meghalaya spokesperson stated that such acts of humanity help in reinforcing the bond of friendship between the two neighbouring countries, and we as security forces are always there to help the population on either side of the border.

It may be mentioned that the BSF personnel brave all odds along the international border to keep the country safe and display their humane side whenever they are required to serve the public.
