Free health camp held at Thadrang-A village, Ri-Bhoi on November 13
A one-day free medical camp was held at the football ground of Thadrang-A village, Ri-Bhoi District on November 13. Organised as part of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” celebration, the camp included dental and tuberculosis check-ups for both children and adults as well as enrollment of MHIS Smart Card and Covid-19 vaccination.
Organised by the Office of the District Legal Service Authority, Ri Bhoi District, Nongpoh in collaboration with the Office of the District Medical & Health Officer, Ri Bhoi District, many villagers took part in the camp and availed the services.
The camp also spread awareness about the importance of immunization for children and the need for regular check-ups of pregnant women.
B Joshi, District and Session Judge, Nongpoh urged the villagers to make the best use of the opportunity presented to them and to consult with a doctor about any health problems that they may have.
The camp also highlighted the various government schemes available to help promote the health and livelihood of the people.
