Manipur: Statewide curfew extended till Aug 3

IMPHAL:

Amid the surge in the number of COVID-19 cases in the state, the Manipur government has extended the statewide curfew by seven days till August 3, officials informed.

Essential services and home delivery of food have been kept out of the purview of the restrictions.

The home department has also allowed additional activities during curfew hours including the opening of insurance offices for three days from 10 am to 2 pm.

Manipur, on Tuesday, recorded 1,165 new cases, taking the tally to 94,821, while 11 more fatalities took the death toll to 1,498.
