Entry of visitors inside Manipur Secretariat restricted amid COVID surge
The decision was taken as a part of a precautionary measure to contain the spread of COVID-19.

The Principal Secretary (General Administrative Department), V. Vumlunmang, on Tuesday, issued an order prohibiting the entry of non-official visitors into the Manipur Secretariat with immediate effect.
The decision was taken as a part of a precautionary measure to contain the spread of COVID-19.
The order further stated that for non-secretariat government officials, the guard commander will regulate the entry after verifying their antecedents and purpose of visit.
Further, for cases where the entry of non-official visitors may be required such as booking of Bhavan, COVID related matters, entry may be allowed on a case to case basis, after obtaining permission from the Under Secretary of GAD through the intercom phone provided at the entry gate.
