Marwari Arogya Bhawan Hospital gets new ambulance 

The ambulance was donated by Jyoti Lalita Foundation.

DIBRUGARH:

The Jyoti Lalita Foundation in Assam on Friday, donated an ambulance to Marwari Arogya Bhawan Hospital in Dibrugarh to help the hospital in case of emergencies during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Union minister of state for Food Processing and Industries, Rameswar Teli was present during the handover of the ambulance to the hospital authorities and applauded the foundation for the initiative.

"It is a good initiative by the foundation to come forward and donate the ambulance to Arogya Bhawan Hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic," the minister said.

"The Kanoi family have made immense contribution in the field of education and they have also come forward for a social cause," the minister added. 

Jyoti Lalita Foundation is associated with several water projects in Dibrugarh and has installed water filters in many areas of the town.

"An ambulance is a need of the hour during the pandemic. We have decided to donate an ambulance to Arogya Bhawan to help the hospital during the emergency hours," Jyoti Prasad Kanoi, chairman of the Foundation said.

"We are honoured that we are able to make a little contribution towards society during the COVID-19 pandemic," the chairman added.

Mrs Lalita Kanoi and many other distinguished guests were also present during the occasion.
