Assam: Dibrugarh University students research work gets recognition in International Conference 

The students are from the 5th semester of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Dibrugarh University.

DIBRUGARH: 

Two students of Dibrugarh University have brought laurels by participating in the 5th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Computational Linguistics, held at the British University in Dubai on June 4,2021.

Arjun Gogoi and Lakhya Jyoti Nath presented their work under the supervision of Dr Nomi Baruah, faculty at DIUET. 

The students are from the 5th semester of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Dibrugarh University. 

The paper was submitted on indexed in scopus and published by Elsevier. 

Scopus indexing of papers from a university helps in NIRF rankings of universities in India.

Talking to TNT-The Northeast Today, Arjun Gogoi said, “Last year both of us started the research work under Dr Nomi Baruah. In February, we submitted our paper for the 5th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Computational Linguistics. It took four months to complete the research work, as there is no tool for the Assamese language, so we had to think to conduct research on the topic”.

Gogoi also took part in SRS 2021 where his paper was selected and accepted to the International Journal of Information Technology (BJIT) published by Springer.

The Dibrugarh University AASU unit congratulated the duo for their achievement.

“They have proved that this pandemic cannot be a barrier in sharing knowledge and achieving goals,” said a member of DU, AASU unit.
