Assam welcomes its sixth Oxygen Express with 80 MT Oxygen

The state has now received a total of 480 MT of liquid medical oxygen (LMO) so far.

GUWAHATI: 

The Northeastern state of Assam has received its sixth Oxygen Express, carrying 80 MT of oxygen in four tankers from Jharkhand,  on Friday.


The state has now received a total of 480 MT of liquid medical oxygen (LMO) so far.


Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), confirming the news said, "So far, Indian Railways has delivered nearly 29,185 MT of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) in more than 1684 tankers to various states across the country."


Oxygen Expresses started their deliveries on April 24 in Maharashtra with a load of 126 MT. 


Now, a total of 409 Oxygen Expresses have completed their journey so far and brought relief to various states.


Indian Railways is continuing its journey to bring succour to the states, by delivering Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) across the country.
