Assam: Road mishap leaves one dead in Karbi Anglong

According to sources, the victim (Ajeet Tisso) was proceeding towards his native place Langsomepi from Diphu on a motorcycle, when he was hit by a speeding vehicle along the Rongplimplam-Birla road.

DIPHU:

A person identified as Ajeet Tisso (31) died in a tragic road accident after being hit by a Tata DI truck at Napali village under Manja Police station here on Monday.

Tisso is a resident of Langsomepi village, Silonijan under Borpathar police station.

According to sources, the victim (Ajeet Tisso) was proceeding towards his native place Langsomepi from Diphu on a motorcycle, when he was hit by a speeding vehicle along the Rongplimplam-Birla road.

He was later taken to Diphu Medical College and hospital for treatment where he was referred to another hospital for further treatment.

Tisso succumbed to his injuries midway while he was being taken to Dimapur.

According to the information given by the police, the driver of the vehicle has been arrested and kept under police custody for further legal action.

Tisso was a private school teacher at Kare Hansepi Memorial  School, Diphu. He was also a member of the Karbi Anglong United Choir.

Tisso leaves behind his wife and a 6-year old son.
