Assam: ONGC engineer dies due to COVID-19 in Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH: 

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation engineer Rajib Hazarika (51) died due to COVID-19 complications at the Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH), Dibrugarh on Sunday.

Hazarika was undergoing treatment at the AMCH after being tested positive for COVID-19.

Hazarika completed his engineering from Jorhat Engineering College in 1991. 

“He has been undergoing treatment at AMCH for several days. He was diabetic and had other complications. We were giving our best treatment but this morning at around 9.20 am he passed away at AMCH,” said a doctor from AMCH.

At present, 30 Covid patients are undergoing treatment at the AMCH, Dibrugarh.

On April 17, out of the 1830 tests that were conducted, 34 COVID-19 positive cases were detected in Dibrugarh.
