Assam: Offline classes for schools, degree and PG will start from October 1, says education minister Ranoj Pegu

The announcement came during the minister’s visit to the Dibrugarh Government Girls School, wherein he also sanctioned Rs 3 crore for infrastructure development of Amolapatty Girl High School in Dibrugarh.

DIBRUGARH:

Assam Education Minister, Ranoj Pegu, on Tuesday, announced that offline classes for students of Class 9, degree, and post-graduation level will start from October 1.

Pegu also said that offline classes for students of Class I to 8 will resume from October 19, and will be conducted three days a week.

"Schools will re-open, but Covid-19 protocols should be maintained. The government will soon issue SOPs for the same," said Pegu.

The announcement came during the minister’s visit to the Dibrugarh Government Girls School, wherein he also sanctioned Rs 3 crore for infrastructure development of Amolapatty Girl High School in Dibrugarh.

While interacting with the teachers and students of the government school, which was established way back in 1885, the education minister assured the all-around development of the institution.
