Assam: Man arrested after rape of minor in Nagaon

NAGAON:

Police arrested a man for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl in Nagaon district, a source said on Sunday.

According to police sources, the man lured the minor girl to a farmhouse where he committed the heinous act.

The incident reportedly took place on August 6.

The girl, after returning home, told her relatives late following which a case was registered at the Rupohihat police station on August 7.

It may be noted that the accused has been arrested and has been remanded in judicial custody.
