GUWAHATI:

The Health and Family Welfare Department of Assam, modifying its earlier order on Friday, stated that those who have received the two doses of COVID vaccine will no longer have to undergo mandatory tests at Airports and Railway Stations.

"It is hereby ordered that people who have been vaccinated with two doses of COVID vaccine shall be exempted from mandatory testing on arrival at airports and railway stations in Assam from outside the state, provided they produce a valid certificate depicting the fully vaccinated status of a person with two doses of COVID vaccine," the order stated.

The department further informed that the order shall come into force with immediate effect.

Meanwhile, with the vaccination drive going on in full swing at par with other states, the positivity rate of people infected with COVID-19 has undergone a substantial decrease.
