Assam Chief Minister Sonowal attends review meeting on Covid-19 in Dibrugarh

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal attended a review meeting on Covid-19 situation at Assam Medical College and Hospital in Dibrugarh on Sunday.

Speaking to media persons, Chief Minister Sonowal said, “We have fought successfully against the first wave of Covid-19. Now, the time has come again to prepare ourselves to fight the second wave of the pandemic.”

“Last year we unitedly fought against the pandemic following all the guidelines of cleanliness and physical distancing. It is time that we should make people aware to follow the health guidelines sincerely,” Sonowal said.

Chief Minister Sonowal further added, “There is no shortage of Covid-19 vaccine. We have to continue the vaccination and testing simultaneously. We appeal people to come forward and co-operate for testing and vaccination for the safety of all.”

The meeting was attended by MLAs Prashanta Phukan, Rituparna Baruah, Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, AMC Principal, Superintendent, Departmental Heads, Joint Director of Health and other senior health officers of the district.
