Assam: BCPL sanctions Rs 1.50 crore to AMCH, Dibrugarh amid COVID challenges

The sanctioned amount will help the hospital to improve the infrastructure and equipment at the facility, the BCPL stated.

DIBRUGARH:

Brahmaputra Crackers and Polymer Ltd (BCPL) has sanctioned Rs 1.50 crore from their CSR fund to Assam Medical College and Hospital, Dibrugarh to uplift the emergency services in the casualty building.

The sanctioned amount will help the hospital to improve the infrastructure and equipment at the facility, the BCPL stated.

This noble gesture from BCPL came in response to a proposal submitted by the college authority to develop a state of art Emergency and Trauma Care with training facilities at the campus.

Principal of AMCH, Dr Sanjib Kakoti said a high-level technical committee is taking care of this work.

Moreover, BCPL is also coming forward with financial support to the hospital management society to meet urgent and emergency expenses to procure essential equipment and gadgets for dealing with the COVID-19 challenges.

"We on behalf of AMCH fraternity acknowledge & extend our gratitude to the management of BCPL for their kind and noble gesture," said Dr Sanjib Kakoti on the sanction of the fund.
