By-polls to five seats in Assam on October 30
The last date of filing and scrutiny of nominations is October 8, 2021. The Commission has fixed October 13 as the last date for withdrawal of candidatures.
The Election Commission of India (ECI), on Tuesday, announced October 30, 2021 as the date of the Assembly by-polls to five constituencies in Assam.
The five constituencies are 28-Gossaigaon, 41-Bhabanipur, 58-Tamulpur, 101-Mariani, and 107-Thowra, the ECI said.

Earlier on Tuesday, Sarbananda Sonowal submitted his resignation letter as MLA from the Majuli constituency, following his election to the Rajya Sabha membership from Assam.
By-polls to three Lok Sabha seats and 30 assembly constituencies spread across 14 states will be held on October 30, the Election Commission announced on Tuesday.
