Assam: 32 NLFB militants lay down arms in Kokrajhar

According to sources, a group of 32 NLFB rebels led by self-styled platoon commander B Harder joined the mainstream at Jharbari area.

Thirty-Two cadres of the newly-floated Bodo rebel outfit, National Liberation Front of Bodoland (NLFB) laid down arms and ammunitions on Sunday in Kokrajhar district near the Indo-Bhutan border.

According to sources, a group of 32 NLFB rebels led by self-styled platoon commander B Harder joined the mainstream at Jharbari area.

It may be noted, the cadres will be taken to a designated camp of the outfit under police protection.

The NLFB, led by M Batha, was formed soon after all four factions of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NFFB) signed a new Bodoland Accord with the Union government in January last year.

Sixty-nine insurgents of the outfit have laid down their arms to date.
