Arunachal Pradesh: Two NSCN militants surrender in Longding district

DIBRUGARH:

Two militants belonging to NSCN (Khaplang) and NSCN (K2) also known as NSCN-Khango Konyak faction, surrendered before the Longding police in Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday.

The cadres were identified as self-styled captain Hikai Wangsa (37) of Longsom village in Longding district and self-styled private Jamgang Patadam (25), a resident of Khasa village.

“The cadres of NSCN are involved in much extortion related activities in Longding area, mostly. Our operation against the insurgents has been going on the bordering area of Myanmar and Arunachal Pradesh. Intelligence agencies are working hard to avert any eventuality,” said a police official.
