Arunachal Pradesh: Deputy Commissioner of Dibang Minga Sherpa receives commendation card for ‘outstanding service’

Sherpa received the award for “outstanding work in promoting civil-military cooperation and devotion towards the development of far-flung and remote areas of Upper Dibang District.”

The General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of Eastern Command, Lieutenant General Anil Chauhan, awarded the GOC-in-C Commendation Card to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Dibang, Minga Sherpa, on Tuesday.


Sherpa received the award for “outstanding work in promoting civil-military cooperation and devotion towards the development of far-flung and remote areas of Upper Dibang District.”


Addressing the gathering at Dinjan Military Station, Chauhan commended Minga for his selfless dedication and relentless support towards the Indian Army’s endeavours in developing key infrastructure and security-related installations in remote Dibang Valley.


“Sherpa has been proactive in addressing road connectivity issues and facilitating the Indian Army’s efforts for enhancement of quality of life for troops and locals staying in remote areas of Arunachal Pradesh,” Chauhan said.


“He has also helped to speed up land acquisition cases, repair of far-flung bridges, and commissioning of Hydel Power Plant to improve the infrastructure in remote areas,” he added.
Meanwhile, Sherpa thanked the Indian Army for supporting the civil administration in bringing development to the region through meaningful welfare projects.
