Tokyo Olympics: Indian boxers Satish Kumar, Amit Pangal lose their bout

Earlier, India's prime medal hope Amit Pangal lost his bout to Colombia's Ryogoku Kokugikan and made an exit from the Olympics.

In another disappointing news from the Tokyo Olympics, Indian Boxer Satish Kumar lost his quarter-finals bout against Bakhodir Jalolov of Uzbekistan in the super heavyweight (+91) category on Satuday.

Top-seeded Jalolov dominated the bout in three rounds and won by an anonymous 5-0 decision, dominating every aspect of the game.

Kumar is the first Indian super heavyweight boxer to compete at the Olympics and had progressed into the quarter-finals after defeating Ricardo Brown of Jamaica.

Earlier, India's prime medal hope Amit Pangal lost his bout to Colombia's Ryogoku Kokugikan and made an exit from the Olympics.

In women's boxing, Pooja Rani (75 kg) got trashed by China's Li Qian in a 5-0 defeat on the same day.
