Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) registered their first successful win in the 2021 season of the Indian Premier League, winning the first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad by 10 runs.

The nail-biting match went down the wire to the very last over of the innings.

Nitesh Rana's 80 runs off 56 balls, and Manish Pandey's unbeaten 61 off 44 were the highlight of the match.

In reply, SRH were restricted to 177 for 5. Prasidh Krishna returned with the figures of 2/35 while Shakib Al Hasan, Pat Cummins and Andre Russell picked up a wicket each.
