India win 2nd ODI match against Sri Lanka, clinch series

COLOMBO:
India defeated Sri Lanka by 3 wickets in the 2nd One Day International (ODI) match at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Tuesday to take a 2-0 lead in the 3 match ODI series.
The Indian team have thus clinched the series, winning both ODIs comprehensively.
The nail-biting match witnessed some good performances by Deepak Chahar, Suryakumar Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Chahar was good with both bat and ball scoring 69 and clinching 2 wickets, while Yadav managed 53 of 44 balls.
Kumar returned with 3/54 figures alongside Yuzvendra Chahal (3/50) in the bowling department to restrict the Sri Lankans at 275/9.
India were 193/7 at one point of time before the match went down the wire, with India pulling a stunning win.
Chahar was declared Player of the Match.
Earlier after winning the toss, Sri Lanka posted a competitive total of 275 runs. Both teams will now meet on Friday for the third and final ODI at the same venue.
