BCCI AGM exhibition match: Team Ganguly fall one run short of Team Shah

Gideon Kharkongor, Honorary secretary Meghalaya Cricket Association playing from President's XI side and Naba Bhattacharjee, Convenor BCCI Task force for North East, playing from Secretary’s XI had a good outing for their respective teams at the Eden Gardens when BCCI Board President's XI and the Secretary's XI lit up the chilly December evening at the Eden Gardens, which the latter won by one run.

Jay Shah, BCCI Secretary and leader of the Secretary's XI, won the toss and opted to bat, scoring a challenging 128 for three wickets in their allotted 15 overs. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly's team fell just one run short, losing five wickets in the process.

Mohammad Azharuddin and  Sourav Ganguly featured in the game as BCCI secretary Jay Shah, who bowled with guile and desire, picked up three wickets including the wicket of  Azharuddin and single-handedly put an end to President XI's pursuit.

President's XI started the run chase effectively, with Avishek Dalmiya scoring quick 13 and Vijay Patil on the score of 21. However, two run outs, first of Dalmiya by Mithun Manhas and then of Patil by Jaydev Shah, put a halt to the chase. 

Jay Shah stormed through the middle order, claiming three wickets, two of which came in one over. 
Finally Board President's XI fell short by just 1 run, giving Secretary's XI a well deserved win.
