Assam reports highest COVID vaccination turnout in Northeast, Tripura comes second

More than 27 lakh 80 thousand vaccine doses were given in the country in the last 24 hours - 24,79,232 (first dose) and 3,00,826 (second dose).

India has crossed a landmark with the administration of more than 2 crore Covid Vaccine Doses to the people in the age group of 18 to 44 years so far. 

According to the Health Ministry, more than 12 lakh beneficiaries in the age group of 18 to 44 years received their first dose of COVID vaccine in the last 24 hours and nearly thirteen thousand beneficiaries in the same age group received their second dose of the vaccine.

More than 27 lakh 80 thousand vaccine doses were given in the country in the last 24 hours - 24,79,232 (first dose) and 3,00,826 (second dose). 

"Vaccination is an integral pillar of the comprehensive strategy of the Government for containment and management of the pandemic," the Ministry said. 

Coming to Northeast India, Assam reported the highest COVID-19 vaccination turnout (both first and second doses) with 41,37,301 followed by Tripura with 16,10,723.

Assam: 33,04,145 (1st Dose) - 8,33,156 (2nd Dose) - Total doses - 41,37,301

Arunachal Pradesh: 2,55,589 (1st Dose) - 78,329 (2nd Dose) - Total doses - 3,33,918

Manipur: 3,87,473 (1st Dose) 70,445 (2nd Dose) - Total doses - 4,57,918

Meghalaya: 3,91,357 (1st Dose) 74,340 (2nd Dose) - Total doses - 4,65,697

Mizoram: 2,64,123 (1st Dose) 51,117 (2nd Dose) - Total doses - 3,15,240

Nagaland: 2,16,970 (1st Dose) 51,942 (2nd Dose) - Total doses - 2,68,912

Sikkim: 1,79,263 (1st Dose) 59,661 (2nd Dose) - Total doses - 2,38,924

Tripura: 11,03,052 (1st Dose) 5,07,671 (2nd Dose) - Total doses - 16,10,723
