Six medical colleges from India find place in world's top-100 medical institutes

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi has bagged 23rd position, while AFMC, Pune has bagged 34th rank, followed by CMC Vellore (49), JIPMER Pondicherry (59), Medical College Chennai (64), and IMS BHU Varanasi (72).

Six medical colleges from India have found a place in the list of the World's 100 best medical colleges for the year 2021, in a ranking released by CEO World Magazine.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi has bagged 23rd position, while AFMC Pune has bagged 34th rank, followed by CMC Vellore (49), JIPMER Pondicherry (59), Medical College Chennai (64), and IMS BHU Varanasi (72).

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that it was a proud moment for India as the rankings are a testimony to the growing educational system.

"Proud moment for every Indian as 6 Indian Medical Colleges find a place in list of 100 best medical colleges of the world in 2021. @aiims_nd (23); AFMC Pune (34); CMC Vellore (49); JIPMER Pondicherry (59); Medical College Chennai (64) & IMS BHU Varanasi (72)," Javadekar tweeted.
