Olympic Day: PM Modi appreciates all those who represented India at various Olympic events

Modi took to Twitter to congratulate everyone associated with the prestigious sporting event and commended the spirit of sportsmanship.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday appreciated all those athletes and sportspersons who represented India at various Olympic events over the years on the occasion of Olympic Day.

Modi took to Twitter to congratulate everyone associated with the prestigious sporting event and commended the spirit of sportsmanship.

"Today, on Olympic Day, I appreciate all those who have represented India in various Olympics over the years. Our nation is proud of their contributions to sports and their efforts towards motivating other athletes," the Prime Minister said over a tweet.

Modi also wished the Indian contingent for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics, which begins in a few weeks.

"In a few weeks, @Tokyo2020 begins. Wishing the very best to our contingent, which consists of our finest athletes. In the run-up to the games," the Prime Minister said.
