NEET (UG) 2021 to be held on September 12 across 198 centres

Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, said that the entrance will be conducted across the country following all COVID-19 protocols, for which the examination centres have been increased from 155 to 198.

The Ministry of Education has announced that the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) (UG) 2021 will be held on September 12, 2021, and the application process will begin from 5 pm on Tuesday (July 13) through the National Testing Agency (NTA) website.


Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, said that the entrance will be conducted across the country following all COVID-19 protocols, for which the examination centres have been increased from 155 to 198.


The examination was earlier scheduled to be held on August 1, 2021.


To ensure adherence to COVID-19 protocols, the NTA has put in place various measures for the safety of all the candidates appearing for the examination.


The testing agency has devised staggered time slots during entry and exit, contactless registration, proper sanitisation, seating with social distancing etc.


In addition to that, face mask will be provided to all the candidates at the centres, and all protocols will be ensured as the candidates' turnout is expected to be very high.


The NTA conducts the NEET for admission to MBBS/BDS courses and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognized Medical/Dental and other Colleges/ Institutes in India.
