India logs 43,071 new COVID-19 cases, 955 deaths in last 24 hours

According to the Union Health Ministry, this is the eighth consecutive day when the country has reported less than 50,000 cases in a day.

India recorded as many as 43,071 new COVID-19 cases including 955 deaths in the last 24 on Sunday, informed the Union Health Ministry.

According to the Union Health Ministry, this is the eighth consecutive day when the country has reported less than 50,000 cases in a day.

Meanwhile, India's recovery rate has reached 97.09 percent, with recoveries outnumbering the new cases for 52nd days in a row.

India currently has about 4,85,350 active cases and the positivity rate stands at 2.44 per cent.

The Union Health Ministry also informed that a total of 35.12 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
