India logs 41,157 COVID-19 cases, 518 deaths in last 24 hours

India registered as many as 41,157 new COVID-19 cases including 518 deaths in the last 24 hours on Sunday, the Union Health Ministry informed.
India's active caseload declined further to 4,22,660 cases with a weekly positivity rate of 2.08 per cent.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the national COVID-19 recovery rate has jumped to 97.31 per cent, showing a positive trend in recoveries since June.
The ministry informed that India witnessed 42,004 recoveries in the last 24 hours, which again surpassed the daily positive cases being reported in the country.
Meanwhile, the country has administered 40,49,31,715 doses of COVID-19 vaccine under the nationwide vaccination drive that started in January 2021.
